Anfa Urbanization Development Agency

About

Anfa, once known primarily as an airport, has transformed since 2006 into the dynamic heart of Casablanca. At the forefront of this transformation is Anfa Park, the green backbone of the area, serving not just as a place for relaxation but as a cultural hub. The park hosts significant cultural events, such as Jazzablanca, which brings music from all around the world over three days with 26,000 attendees; a Children's Book Fair that attracts 83,000 visitors over a week; and Anfa Park en Fête, a family event that draws 220,000 participants over three weeks. These events underscore our commitment to cultural diversity and quality.

Anfa Park also acts as a cultural incubator, enhancing our understanding of community cultural behaviors. Our vision is to develop Casa Anfa into a dynamic cultural area featuring major venues such as a theater, creative co-working spaces, a museum, art galleries, shops, and cafés that provide cultural activities. Our goal is to establish Casablanca as a city celebrated for its innovation and cultural wealth.

This cultural development project covers approximately 18 hectares and includes 44 historic buildings that we aim to restore and incorporate into our cultural scheme. By doing so, we preserve our heritage while integrating it into contemporary cultural life, thus adding to the uniqueness and diversity of our community.

We are dedicated to developing this cultural district, ensuring that each initiative and event aligns with our vision. Casa Anfa is set to become a model of urban revitalization through culture, where tradition and modernity converge to create a vibrant, inclusive space. Our mission is to build a cultural ecosystem where everyone can find their place, thereby enhancing Casablanca’s cultural appeal on both a national and international stage.
