The Cultural Stadium is a visionary initiative dedicated to revitalizing downtown Chicago by harnessing the transformative the power of arts and culture. The effort is a large scale project made up of a hundred interventions from the creation of urban festival sites, year long free artist residency program, construction of new art warehouse open to the public, alleyway activations, adaptive reuse of place and space tied to cultural use, public art, a series of new festivals and much more.

Our goal is to create a downtown Chicago that is exciting, inclusive, and reflective of its diverse communities. We strive to make arts and culture accessible to all, ensuring equitable participation. By embedding cultural initiatives into the city, we celebrate downtown as Chicago’s heart, fostering creativity, connection, and inclusion.

We seek to join the Global Cultural Districts Network to connect with organizations that share our commitment to integrating arts and culture into urban development. GCDN membership will provide valuable opportunities for collaboration, shared learning, and best practices that support our mission of revitalizing downtown Chicago.
