Covering a sprawling 2,000,000 sq.m. of lush, landscaped greenery, The Ellinikon Park forms the heart of The Ellinikon, redefining Athens’ coastal front, creating a seamless connection between city, sea, and nature.
It is being delivered in phases, with roughly 75,000 sq.m. already open, about 800,000 sq.m. under construction, and the remainder scheduled for completion in 2031.
As one of the world’s largest coastal parks, it offers a rich variety of experiences: from exploring its architectural heritage and cultural nodes, to children’s activities, sports, walking, and cycling. Every path, garden, and open space is designed to enhance daily life, foster well-being, and provide a living sanctuary where city life and nature coexist in harmony.
Our mission is to cultivate a dynamic and inclusive cultural ecosystem within the heart of Athens, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas, experiences, and creativity from around the globe.
As a Metropolitan Park of significant scale and influence, we recognize that our role extends far beyond green space provision. We are, in effect, a cultural landscape, a living civic platform where nature, heritage, art, and community intersect. Joining this cultural network represents a strategic step in strengthening that role, allowing us to grow collectively, ensuring that large public spaces remain culturally vibrant, accessible, and deeply human.
