Yale University’s Institute for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage (IPCH) is dedicated to advancing the study, practice, and understanding of cultural heritage preservation worldwide. In service of this mission, IPCH advances global engagement through a dynamic portfolio of international programs that support leaders working at the forefront of cultural heritage preservation. In 2023, IPCH established a dedicated International Programs division under the leadership of Charlotte Ashamu, the Director of International Programs. Supported by a multidisciplinary team based at Yale and internationally, the division develops a range of educational programs, platforms for exchange, and partnerships across the Global South. A cornerstone of this work is the Yale Directors Forum, an executive fellowship program designed for leaders directing museums and cultural institutions responsible for the stewardship of cultural heritage collections. IPCH International Programs also advances its mission through public programs and targeted preservation projects focused on significant cultural figures and collections.
