Since 2012, Alexandra Maier has been the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership’s Marketing and Communications Director, responsible for the organization’s mandate of promoting Montreal’s cultural district as a must-see destination to both residents and visitors. Together with her team, she fulfills this mandate through a comprehensive program of communications initiatives including PR, advertising, branding, digital, mobile and social media.
With over 20 years of experience, Alexandra’s career path includes professional experience and training in Europe, North America and Latin America. Prior to joining the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership, she worked for Yellow Pages Canada, where she was in charge of the company’s brand overhaul resulting in the desired perception shift of the company as a digital player. Alexandra also worked for several communication agencies, where she oversaw client services teams in charge of branding, design, PR and sponsorship activities for numerous industries.
Alexandra holds a Master’s degree in Romance Languages and Literature from the University of Bremen (Germany) and a Certificate in Public Relations and Business Communications from the State University of New York. She sits on the board of La Vitrine Culturelle, a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of cultural activities in the greater Montreal area as well as Tangente, a major figure in Montreal’s contemporary dance scene for 35 years.
