A specialist in strategic communications, May brings over 16 years of experience working in cultural and tourism sectors in the U.S., Australia and internationally, across government, private and non-profit sectors.

Throughout her career, May’s work has focused on celebrating and amplifying the role of arts and culture in shaping and enhancing civic life. For Destination New South Wales (Australia), she managed a portfolio of government investments in major arts and cultural events designed to drive economic activity as well as community benefits. She has served as program assistant for the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, which brings together an international community of municipal leaders actively promoting their local creative industries. Until 2022, May served as Vice President at communications firm Resnicow and Associates (New York) where she worked with a range of clients including the world’s leading museum, tourism and government organizations, as well as architecture and design firms.

May currently resides in Australia where she works as a communications consultant serving the arts and culture, major events and tourism, and healthcare sectors.
